The market place - before and after -

Strange topic to choose, isn't it? The market place. I could have wrote about Alethea and Weelin's B'dae party, which was super fun. We played computer games, went out to eat Prata. Then on the way back, went to no less than 2 playgrounds, one of which was situated next to the prettiest Longkang i've ever laid eyes upon. True, we all got darker, but at least it was fun. Back at Jia Hui's house we made a brownie cake and blew bubbles, took lots of pictures and after that went to the park - again. But then, the day seemed to be lacking something. It starts with a W and rhymes with WANG PAN CHENG. Also, i could have went on about how the Qiu and I planned the great event. This however, is difficult to summarise, considering it includes many tedious phone calls, rushed meetings and a strange argument on a difference between a pan, a baking tin, a frying pan and a wok. I shan't further elaborate. So instead, i shall go on about my morning at the Wet Market. Let me tell you, it has been A.G.E.S since i've gone there. Blame tests, homework, teachers, tests, CCA, review tests, books.... oh have i mentioned TESTS???? Anyway, i ate a piping hot bowl of fish ball noodle soup before setting off on a grocery mission with my mum. And i was horrified to find out, that my understanding of dialects had failed me. Dialects felt like a foreign language once again, when it should be second nature for me to speak and understand them. OH WELL... Nevertheless, i had a new task in mind today - learn how to select good groceries. And who better to teach me than my experienced mother? So today, i learnt how to choose fish, melons, Kai Lan, beans, how much meat to buy...ETC. Well, not in detail, but at least i'm trying, right? So any way, enough crapping. I've got a competition in a few hours and CIP tomorrow. Followed by more competitions on SAT and SUN, with a rushed CIP after Sundays competition. Oh. Woe betide me:( |
